Directions to the Historic Polegreen Church Site:

The site is located 12 miles from downtown Richmond, Virginia. The major roadway closest to the site is I-295, the major tourist corridor through Hanover County from the northeastern states to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.

Exit 38-A from either direction on I-295 will point to Pole Green Road (Note: the highway markers misspell Polegreen). Once off the interstate follow state route 627. You will be heading northeast. Go 2.2 miles. In the middle of a wide right turn, make a left onto Rural Point Road (Rt. 643). Three-tenths of a mile on your right is the historic site, which is marked by a brown highway sign.

Should you be traveling from Route 360, the major corridor from Mechanicsville to Tappahonock, Va, turn onto Route 627 (it will have dead-ended at the light at Rt. 360). Once on 627, head west for 3.3 miles. Rural Point Road will be on the right. Turn right onto Rural Point and travel three-tenths of a mile to the historic marker and site.

If you are approaching from the west on the Route 301 corridor, you will note a traffic light at Pearson's Corner (Routes 301 and 643). Turn east onto Route 643 (Rural Point Road) and continue for 4.2 miles. The historic site and marker will be on your left.

Drive carefully and slowly so you can enjoy rural Hanover County in this area. Have a safe journey into the historic past.
